Marjorie L. (Franchere) Larson, age 88, of Lake Crystal, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Crystal Seasons in Lake Crystal.

Private family burial will be at the Lake Crystal Cemetery. Lake Crystal Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

Marjorie Lucille Franchere Larson, the daughter of Dr. Harold and Effie (Norman) Franchere, was born on March 9, 1922, in Lake Crystal, MN. She attended school in Lake Crystal graduating with the class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Donald S. Mathews in Bremerton, WA on August 2, 1942. He passed away in Washington on September 7, 1944. She married John L. Larson on April 1, 1946, in Mankato, MN.

Marjorie is survived by her three daughters Donna (Ron) Williams of Lake Crystal, Phyllis (Paul) Grogan of Lakeville, Jayne Pritchard of Lake Crystal; her son John F. (Lois) Larson of Lake Crystal, grandchildren David Williams, Donald Williams, Bryan Pritchard, Patrick Grogan, Amy Owens, John W. and Kimberly Larson, nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sister, Phyllis Oppen of Minnetonka, MN; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Larson of Monticello, MN and Valaine Larson of Red Wing; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; her brother and sister-in-law Norman G. and Alice Franchere; three brothers-in-law, Melvin Oppen, Leroy Larson, and Jiggs Larson.
