Marjorie Mongeau, age 88, of North Mankato at formerly of Good Thunder, passed away at Oaklawn Health Care Center on July 13th, 2006 from complications of Alzheimers disease.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Good Thunder, with Rev. Richard Colletti officiating. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, July 15, before Mass at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Josephs Catholic Church, Good Thunder.

Marjorie was born on October 16, 1917, to Lester and Loretta (Kelly) Sackett, of Stewartville, MN. She married Vincent Mongeau on April 19, 1941, at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Stewartville. Marjorie was a long-time member of the Mothers Club of Good Thunder, and of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Josephs parish. She was the organist at St. Josephs in Good Thunder, and Pax Christe in Rochester, MN. Marjorie enjoyed, music, sewing, and baking.

She is survived by husband, Vincent of North Mankato; two daughters, Joan (Lawrence) Albrecht of Ingleside, IL, Marcy (Robert) Capelle of Spring Valley; son, Jim (Kathy) Mongeau of North Mankato; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Arva) Sackett of Rochester, Les (Barbara) Sackett of Oceanside, CA; two sisters, Helen Welch of Rochester, Irene Dalcher of Stamford, CT; sister-in-law, Mary Sackett of Novato, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gordon; and two sisters, Frances Rand, and Marion Kramer.
