Noell Reed

Noell N. Reed, age 59, of North Mankato, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Mankato House Health Care Center.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donors choice. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family.

Noell was born on May 31, 1947 in St. Paul. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Marjorie (Walton) Nelson. Noell was a 1965 graduate of Hopkins High School and Gustavus Adolphus College in 1969. She was united in marriage to Ted Webber on December 19, 1970 in Minnetonka. They later divorced. Noell married Joel Reed on July 29, 2002 in Mankato. She was employed with the Summit Center in Mankato for 14 years. She attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Christ the King Lutheran Church, both in Mankato. Noell was active in community service and served on the Mankato School Board. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, traveling and being outdoors.

Noell is survived by her husband, Joel Reed of North Mankato; two children, Andrew (Julie) Webber of Owatonna and Carol (David) Overlander of Welch; two stepchildren, Sarah (Steve) Skinner of Dallas, TX and Jonah (Margaret) Reed of Nashville, TN; two step grandchildren, Zeke and Kyle Skinner; two brothers, Dave (Kathy) Nelson of Minnetonka and Dan (Nancy) Nelson and their children, Katie and Erik, of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
