Carmen Muriel Farr, age 80, of North Mankato, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2006 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato with Vicar Mike Muehlenhardt, officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donors choice.

Carmen was born March 3, 1926 to Edward J. and Henrietta M. (Wandersee) Guentzel in Lime Township, Blue Earth County. Carmen was married to George Yetter on March 6, 1948. George died on July 4, 1960. She married Charles Farr on July 17, 1971. Carmen was employed by the Mankato Area Public Schools as head cook for 25 years retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post 617, and VFW Auxiliary Post 950. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, bowling, traveling, and gardening.

Carmen is survived by her husband, Charles Farr of North Mankato; two sons, Denny (Linnea) Yetter of Mankato, Doug (Debbie) Yetter of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Deb (Lee) Erickson of Lakeville; step-son, Steven (Deb) Colvin of Albert Lea; son-in-law, Frank Dauffenbach of St. Peter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Borgmeier, Delores Hiniker, Florence Hiniker all of Mankato; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, George in 1960; daughter, Lois Dauffenbach in 1986; sister, Vera Sasse; brothers, Norman and Kenneth Guentzel.
