Mary Ann Blanshan

Mary Ann Blanshan, age 68, of Mankato, died on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul following a lengthy illness and complications from surgery. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary.



Mary Ann was born on June 3, 1938 in Alton, IA to Raymond and Mildred (Kunz) Mousel. On December 28, 1957 Mary Ann was united in marriage to Garry Blanshan in Mankato. She was employed at Immanuel Hospital, Oaklawn Health Care Center and Nutri-Systems. Mary Ann was a past board member at Horizon Homes, and also a past member of Zonta and Women of the Moose. Mary Ann loved collecting many things, playing cards, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, and being with family and friends.



Mary Ann is survived by her husband Garry; daughters: Denita Blanshan and Darci Lunde; grandchildren: Andrew (Melissa) Reichel, Muray Hinkle, Michelle Hinkle, Melissa Blanshan, Mathew Blanshan, Marshall Lunde, and Hannah Moon; five great-grandchildren; one sister Peggy Mousel; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.



She is preceded in death by her parents and one son Don Jamie.
