Mankato, MN " Margaretmary A. Ploog, age 85 of Mankato and formerly of Madison Lake and St. Peter died Monday, June 19, 2006 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Peter with Rev. Phil Schotzko, Rev. Peter Klein, and Rev. Syl Brown officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary with a 3:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Margaretmary was born June 4, 1921 in LeSueur County to John and Laura (Tarpy) Weber. She was united in marriage to Harold Engelbert Ploog on July 11, 1946 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Marysburg. She was a homemaker for her family and worked at Loyola and Good Counsel. She retired from Good Counsel Hill in the mid 1980s. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Margaretmary enjoyed embroidery and needlework.
Survivors include eight children, Bernie (Kathy) Ploog of Madison Lake, Jeannie (Steve) Biehn of Madison Lake, Norman (Kathy) Ploog of Madison Lake, Bob (Julie) Ploog of St. Peter, Dwayne Dewey (Gwyn) Ploog of Cleveland, Helen (Jerry) McCabe of LeCenter, George (Mary) Ploog of St. Peter, Marie (Gene) Rajtar of Mankato; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaVerne (Norman) Stangler of Waterville, Martha (Jerome) Jaeger of St. Peter; brother-in-law, Don ODonnell of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Mae Ploog of Henderson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Margaretmary was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, two sisters, two brothers in infancy, and a granddaughter, Angela.
