Donald W. Mell, age 65, of Garden City, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Garden City, with Rev. Harvey L. Hallada officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Thursday.

Donald is survived by his daughter, LaDawn Mell of Garden City and special friend, Bret Haslip of St. Peter; son, Donald Jr. DJ Mell of Garden City; granddaughter, Amanda Becker of Mankato; two brothers, John (Dianne) Mell of Mankato, and Barry (Mary) Mell of Garden City; four sisters, Roxie (Paul) Brandts of Garden City, Kathy (Greg) Mellen of Garden City, Betty Jones of St. Paul, and Evelyn (Don) Adams of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen in 2004; infant son, William John.
