Gary Schluter

Gary Lee Schluter, age 46, of Mankato, died Friday, March 31, 2006 following a struggle with cancer. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Mankato Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Dean Wolf officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Gary was born January 20, 1960 in Mankato to John and Dorothy (Herion) Schluter. He was confirmed at Centenary United Methodist Church and was a 1978 graduate of Wilson High School in Mankato. Gary enjoyed fishing, playing pool and was active in pool leagues.

Gary is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Schluter of North Mankato and Ashley Schluter of Mankato; grandson, Gavin Schluter of North Mankato; father, John Schluter of Mankato; brother, Jack Schluter of Savage; sister, Jill Schluter of Chanhassen; aunt, Maxine (Dean) Vick of Wisconsin; uncle, Al Gosen of Longville; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy in 2000; maternal and paternal grandparents; and an aunt, Leona Gosen.
