Thedora L.Tedde James, age 81, of Lake Crystal, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2006 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal, with Rev. Randal Lubbers, officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred the American Cancer Society or ISJ Hospice. Arrangements are with Lake Crystal Mortuary.
Thedora Louise James was born November 8, 1924 in Lake Crystal to Theophelus and Katherine (Seibert) James. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1944, obtained her nurses degree through Abbott Hospital in 1946, and continued for two years in Cadets through the Army Corp of Nursing. Thedora worked in Illinois at Cradle Orphanage prior to her employment at Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis from 1949-1956 and Kaukini Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii from 1956-1961. She returned to Minnesota and from 1961-1963, she worked in the OB department at Immanuel Hospital. From 1963-1980, she worked at the family business, James Hardware in Lake Crystal.
Thedora enjoyed latch hooking crafts, loved western movies, and her dogs. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Russ Simondet of Lake Crystal, nieces and nephews, Nikki (Jerry) Waldron of Norwood, Juli McDougall of Lake Crystal, James (Julie) Simondet of Shorewood, Scott Simondet of Kasota and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Doreen Dode .
