Thomas J. Reynolds, age 68 of Mankato died Friday, March 24, 2006 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.

Thomas was born May 7, 1937 in Minneapolis to James W. and Carrie (Blewett) Reynolds and as a family they moved to the Mankato area in 1953. Thomas was a 1955 graduate of Loyola High School. On July 28, 1956, Tom was married to Lois Anderson at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Tom worked with his father and later was president of the family business, Reynolds Welding Supply Company in Mankato and St. Louis Park and Welders Supply in Willmar. Tom retired on October 30, 2005.

Tom served as Chairman of the Board of Northern Star Bank in Mankato and formerly served on the National Bank of Commerce board. Tom was a member of Mankato Elks Club, Mankato Golf Club and Ironwood Golf Club in Palm Desert, CA. Tom had enjoyed hunting, especially ducks and pheasants, golfing, playing cards and will be remembered for his humor and quick one-liners.

Survivors include wife, Lois Reynolds of Mankato; five children, Vickie (Tom) Meixner of Mankato, Jane (Denny) Wanous of North Mankato, Chuck (Lisa) Reynolds of St. Louis Park, Deb Reynolds of St. Cloud, Jim Reynolds of Mankato; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Rob, and Tony Meixner, Jason, Joey, and Kristina Wanous, and Jenna and Brandon Reynolds; two great-grandchildren, Jay and Hunter Meixner; three siblings, Bill (Sue) Reynolds of Minneapolis, Mike (Jan) Reynolds of Mankato, Mary (Karl) Johnson of Mankato; in-laws, Phyllis Kopischke of Lake Crystal, Betty (Darrell) Moon of Tucson, AZ, Dorothy Anderson of Mankato; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Lavern Kopischke, Norbert Anderson and Marvin Anderson.
