Alice Ward

Alice C. Ward, age 94 of Mankato and formerly of Mapleton died Friday, March 24, 2006 at Immanuel St Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at church on Monday.

Alice C. Ward was born February 18, 1912 in Faribault County, Minnesota to Frank and Louise (Drehmel) Weyhrauch. She graduated from Waldorf High School. She was united in marriage to Leslie Ward on September 14, 1936. She was a homemaker and was very involved in her church. Alice was a former member of Calvary Baptist in Wells, Medo Baptist Church in Medo Township, and was a current member of Grace Baptist Church in Mankato.

Alice is survived by two brothers, Ward (Norma) Weyhrauch of Waldorf, Gordon (LeAnna) Weyhrauch of Wells; sister, Lois Detjen of Waseca; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; son, Leslie Arthur Jr. in 1965; two brothers and three sisters.
