Dale T Halvorson

Dale Theodore Halvorson, 70, of Lawrenceburg, KY died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late Theodore and Bertha (Blank) Halvorson.

Funeral service will be 11 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Mankato Mortuary in Mankato, MN, with Bro. Harvey Hallada officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnard Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 " 8 P.M. at the Mankato Mortuary.

Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele Street, Frankfort, KY 40601 Theodore and Bertha Blank Halvorson.

He was born September 26, 1935 in Lamberton, MN. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Blue Earth County Highway Department and a former volunteer firefighter in Good Thunder, MN. He was a former scout master and member of the bowling team, and member of the Sons of the American Legion.
He was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church and former member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Good Thunder, MN. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and woodworker.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lynnette Nettie Gayle Dalluge Halvorson; five sons, Shawn Halvorson and his wife Jody of Brush, CO, Scott Halvorson and friend Roxie of Roseville, MN, Kelly Halvorson and his wife Letitia, Rodney Halvorson and his wife Terri, all of Good Thunder, MN, Kip Halvorson and his wife Chrisie of Lawrenceburg; 14 grandchildren, Nick, Aaron, Jason, Heidi, Justin, Jared, Nathan, Suzanne, Jamie, Emily, Tyler, Kelley, Janna and Andrew; three sisters, Marian Jenson and her husband James, Lucille Burt and her husband Wayne , Arlene Templeton and her husband Winn, all of MN; four brothers, Laverne Halvorson and his wife Vernette of MN, Duane Halvorson and his wife Dee of KY, Kenneth Halvorson and his wife Nana of KS, Jerome Halvorson and his wife Betty of CA; two sisters-in-law, Florence Halvorson of MN, and Dolores Halvorson of WA.

Including his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Lonny & Glenn Halvorson; two brothers, Lowell and Gordon Halvorson.
