Sandra Gilbertson

Sandra Marie Gilbertson, age 57 of Mankato, died unexpectedly Monday, March 06, 2006 at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2006 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in North Mankato with Rev. Charles Vannieuwenhoven officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 5 " 8 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before service at the church on Thursday.

Sandra M. Gilbertson was born July 10, 1948 to Robert and Delores (Hoffman) Decker in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1966. Sandra was united in marriage to Clemens Gilbertson on August 18, 1967 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. She was employed by the Mankato Lutheran Home and had worked for the Holiday Inn in Mankato. Sandra was a Member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in North Mankato. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, walking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Clem of Mankato; six children, Thomas Gilbertson, Scott (Julia) Gilbertson, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Gilbertson all of Mankato, Amy (Aaron) Louwagie of Lake Crystal, Karen (Larry) Hlavinka of Sartell, MN, and Andrew Gilbertson of Mankato; 10 grandchildren; father Robert Decker of Mankato; four sisters and two brothers; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores.
