Claudia Jones

Claudia R. Jones, age 56 passed away Sunday, February 26, 2006 at her Lake Crystal home after many years of battling several medical conditions.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Monte Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at church in Lake Crystal on Thursday.

Claudia was born on July 2, 1949 in Mankato to Lawerence and Marcella (Miller) Landgren. She was raised in Eagle Lake and was a 1967 graduate of St. Clair High School. Claudia lived many years in Council Bluffs, IA and Omaha, NE until returning in 1986. She enjoyed her two dogs, Charlie and Scotty, and her four cats, Pudge, Stripes, Cody, and Cyetta. She enjoyed raising Angel Fish, crocheting, painting ceramics, and chatting on the internet. She loved spending time with her nine grandchildren. She was loved very much by all that knew her. Claudia had a spunk and stubbornness to her that you could not help but admire. She will be terribly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Claudia is survived by her four children, LeRoy Jones and fiancé, Rodelle Melhoff of Mankato, Michelle Jones of Mankato, Erica Justa of Lake Crystal, Jessica Karels and fiancé, Mike Karels of Mankato; nine grandchildren, Tasha Jones of Lake Crystal, Daniel Jones and Kelisha Jones of Byron, Dillan Jones, Dalton Jones, Monica Wilmes Jones, Melissa Wilmes Jones, Trae Jones and Jayden Jones all of Mankato; two brothers, Larry Landgren and wife, Mary of Fairmont, Gary Landgren and wife, Vicki of Mankato; one sister, Judy Whiteis of Mankato; special friends, Linda Wilson, Tammy Kirk, Rodger Wilson, Tim Wilson, and Chad Wilson all of Iowa, and Karen Goede of Lake Crystal; many aunts, nieces and nephews.

Claudia was preceded in death by her parents and great-nephew Jonathan.
