Frederick Vette

Frederick Tetsche Vette, age 50 of Mankato, died Tuesday February 21, 2006 at his home.

Memorial service will be held on Friday 1:30 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be held one hour before service at Mankato Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.

Frederick was born January 16, 1956 to Frank and Maxine (Tetsche) Vette in Minneapolis. He graduated in 1974 from Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville and from Brown Institute in 1975. Frederick served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1975 " 1982. He returned to college and graduated from the U of M with a degree in communications in 1987. Frederick was united in marriage to Cindy Brown on May 21, 1977 in St. Paul, they later divorced. He worked at KMSU for many years.

Frederick enjoyed golf, music, hunting, history, public speaking, and was active with theater productions at MSU and Merely Players.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Vette and her husband, Jason Wobig of Rochester; two sisters, Anita Vette of Coon Rapids, Julie Vette of St. Paul; nephew and niece; and many cousins. Preceded in death by his parents and nephew.
