Eleanor Elaine Telander, age 60, of Owatonna, was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Al Girtz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Woodvale Home, 592 Adams St., Owatonna, MN, 55060. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Elaine was born on November 12, 1945, in Milaca, Minnesota to William and Agnes (Rolstad) Telander. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca. Elaine moved with her family to a small farm near Mankato in 1948. She was able to attend some school and enjoyed going to Sunday school and being with her friends. Elaine and her mother moved into Mankato in 1976. In 1981, she moved to Woodvale Home in Owatonna, Minnesota. While there she worked at Cedar Valley Services until last year when her health started to fail. She enjoyed living and working in Owatonna and especially enjoyed the people who took care of her. Elaine also enjoyed visiting her mother and having coffee with her.
She is survived by her mother, Agnes of Mankato; brothers, Lee (Annette) Telander and Richard (Sandy) Telander all of Alexandria; special cousin, Vivian (Wayne) Tischer of Mankato; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Glenn; and sister, Karen.
