Clarabelle Pischner, age 89, formerly of Waseca, passed away December 22, in Sterling, Colorado where she had been living with her daughter.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waseca Evangelical United Methodist Church in her honor.

Clarabelle was born to George and Addie (Jacobs) Ronne at home on a very hot July 1, 1916 near Lake Crystal. She grew up in the Rush Lake and Madison Lake areas. She married Clare Dowlin in Iowa in 1937. He passed away in 1946 at Portland, OR. Clarabelle and her three children returned to Minnesota, and lived with her parents on the Pohl Road until she married Lester Pischner in 1948. They lived in Waseca. Clarabelle was a homemaker, an Avon lady, and clerked for J.C. Penney for 25 years. Lester died in 1986 and Clarabelle continued living in Wascea until 2000 when she moved to Colorado for health reasons.

She loved to travel, read, and was interested in politics, but music was her passion. She and her friends, Joe Felgen (deceased), Don White of Waseca, and Lowell Schreyer played as a group for nursing homes and folk fairs. She had been active in the Evangelical United Methodist Church of Waseca.

She is survived by her children, Robert Dowlin of Canon City, CO, Trudy Dowlin of Sterling, CO, and Bruce (Sheryl) Dowlin recently of Mankato, now living in Boise, ID; granddaughter, Johnette (Tony) Amado of Richfield, MN; grandson, Bruce Dowlin-Young of Whiteville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Mitchell Keobounpheng; brother, Jesse (Helen) Ronne of Grand Meadow, MN; two sisters, Doris Ronne of Mankato, Ardis Ronne of Hot Springs, AR; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ella Johnson and her husband, Louie; two brothers, Gene Ronne and his wife, Clara, Floyd "Mac" Ronne and his wife, Grace.
