Ryan Allan Finnern, age 31, of Brooklyn Park and formerly of Mankato died December 19, 2005 at his home of natural causes.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church, Mankato with Rev. Dawn Carder officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from from 4 " 7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service on Friday at church. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donors choice.
Ryan was born December 15, 1974 to Henry and Ruth (Witzel) Finnern in Mankato. Ryan graduated from Mankato East High School in 1993. He attended Mankato State University and later graduated from South Central Technical College, Mankato. Ryan was presently employed with Cummins Inc. and part-time for Cub Foods both of Fridley. Ryan was a Eagle Scout for Troop 76 of Mankato. He was a member of Valley Community Presbyterian Church of Golden Valley and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mankato. Ryan enjoyed tennis and working out at the Northwest Athletic Club.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Henry and Ruth Finnern of Mankato; sister, Dawna Finnern of Brooklyn Park; maternal grandfather, Russell Witzel of Worthington; paternal grandfather, Henry Finnern and his wife, Donna of Wamego, KS; aunts and uncles, Rodney and Sue Witzel of Worthington, Rose Marie Witzel of Leavenworth, WA, Rhona and Doug Kleve of Worthington, Donna and Ray Ahlers of Hartley, Iowa, Don and Judy Finnern of Waseca, Terry and Lynette Finnern of Alexandria, Marjean and Paul Skoog of Eden Prairie, and Michael and Lois Finnern of Burke, VA; many cousins and friends.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother; maternal grandmother; and two cousins.
