Nancy J. Logan, age 50, of Mankato died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato with Rev. Pam Serdar officiating. Inurnment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, Centenary United Methodist Church, or Caring Bridge.
Nancy was born on December 23, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Michael and Betty (Kusalkie) Boswell Jr. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1973. In 1980, she graduated from Mankato State University with honors, later earning a Master of Education degree in 1998. Nancy married James Jacobson on August 18, 1981 and later divorced. On September 25, 1999, she married John Logan in LeSueur, Minnesota. She worked for Mankato District 77 Special Education for eleven years before she became ill. Nancy was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the LeSueur Country Club. She enjoyed golf, decorating her home, traveling, reading, cooking and entertaining, and spending time with her grandson, Max.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John Jack Logan of Mankato; two children, Peter (Alli) Jacobson of Belle Plaine, Elizabeth Libby Jacobson of St. Peter; one grandson, Maxwell Logan Jacobson; mother, Betty Boswell of Bella Vista, AR; three sisters, Mary (Mark) Schafer of Mound, Kathleen (Shane) Peters of Omaha, NE, Laurie (Dave) Tesch of St. Joseph; one brother, Michael (Mary) Boswell of Cody, WY; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Boswell Jr.; and nephew, Little Michael Boswell.
