Richard Rick Rosenberg, age 47 of Lake Crystal died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at his home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Nancy Dreier officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church or ISJ Hospice program.

Richard Owen Rosenberg was born October 28, 1958 in Mankato to Melvin C. and Mary Jane (Jones) Rosenberg. He attended and graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1977 and from University of Minnesota Technical College in Waseca in 1979. On September 15, 1984, he married Michele Marie Jorgenson at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Butternut. Rick was employed with Richmond Ag Systems from 1977-1981, worked for over 15 years with Gopher Welding, which later became Praxair Distribution, prior to his employment in 1997 with Forklifts of Minnesota.

Rick was a current and active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal. He had served on the building project, a member of the choir, and was part of the finance and ministry teams. He was a former member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Butternut, where he had served as trustee, president, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. Rick was a longtime Lake Crystal Lions Club member, where he was past president and secretary. He volunteered with the Salvation Army and had coached school sports. He enjoyed walking, biking, hunting, and shooting clay pigeons. Rick loved farming and spending time with his family and friends. He touched many lives and was loved by manyhe will be greatly missed.

Rick is survived by his wife, Michele Shelly Rosenberg and their three children, Nathan, Natalie and Nicole Rosenberg all of Lake Crystal; mother, Mary Jane Rosenberg of Lake Crystal; brother, Donald Rosenberg and his wife, Brenda of Presque Isle, MI; mother-in-law, Janice Toni Lund of Mankato; father-in-law, John Jorgenson of Kalispell, MT; three sisters-in-law, Kathy Jorgenson of Lake Crystal, Lisa Hagen and her husband, Paul of Mankato, Marcie Wesley of Mankato; two brothers-in-law, Mike Jorgenson of the Twin Cities, Chad Johnson and his wife, Michelle of Rochester; many nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his father in 2000; brother, Timothy; maternal and paternal grandparents.
