Carla Flores

Carla May Flores, age 48, of Mankato died Thursday, November 24, 2005 at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2005 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Steve Kosberg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorials are preferred to the Blue Earth County Humane Society.

Carla was born on April 17, 1957 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to William and Delores (Witkofsky) Schweder. In 1976, Carla was united in marriage to Ramon Flores. She was a former employee of Brannigans and Quick Mart, where she worked for 17 years. Most recently she worked at a group home for the mentally challenged. Carla was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. She enjoyed animals and crafts. Carla was a generous person and went out of her way to help others.

Carla is survived by her mother, Delores Bolka of Grand Rapids; father, William (Mary) Schweder of Bemidji; sister, Diane Opp; niece, Domini Opp; maternal grandmother, Hazel Witkofsky, all of Grand Rapids; special friend, Michael McGuire of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon in 1977; maternal grandfather and her paternal grandparents.
