Glenn "Gabby" Richard Miller, age 61 of Lake Crystal died Sunday, October 23, 2005.
Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First Methodist Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Dean Nosek officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary with one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Glenn was born January 6, 1944 in Mankato to William and Adeline (Phillips) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. He married Lynette Larson on November 26, 1964 in Madelia. They had four children, Tamie, Debra, Rick, and Wendy. They were later divorced. From 1972 to the present, Gabby owned and operated Miller Drainage. On June 29, 1991, he married Julie Sloan in Lake Crystal. He enjoyed camping, boating, snowmobiling, stock car racing, participating in parades and watching televised boxing events. He spent his spare time restoring antique cars.
Survivors include his wife, Julie of Lake Crystal; four children, Tamera (John) Urberg of Eau Clair, WI, Debra (David) Eckstrand of New Ulm, Rick (Brandi) Miller of Mankato, Wendy (Chris) Zehm of Madelia; seven grandchildren, Ian Gag, Adam Urberg, Megan Miller, Ross Miller, Ellie Urberg, Luke Miller, Isaiah Eckstrand; two brothers, Ronald (Martha) Miller and Mark Miller all of rural Lake Crystal; two sisters, Mary Miller of Delta, CO, Joni Roberts of Lake Crystal; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and his beloved dog, Snookums.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill in 1978 and Virgil in 1984; and a niece, Misty Trupp.
