Lois Jeanette Anderson

Mankato, MN " Lois Jeanette Anderson, age 80 of Mankato, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Alterra Sterling House in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato with Pastor John Petersen officiating. Burial will be in Danish Baptist Cemetery in Blooming Prairie. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Lois was born January 15, 1925 in Blooming Prairie to Edward and Jane (Pattridge) Anderson. She attended rural District 84 elementary and Blooming Prairie High School before moving with her parents to South Saint Paul, where she was a 1942 graduate of South Saint Paul High School.

After graduation, Lois moved to Washington, DC and later to Maryland, where she worked at Acacia Mutual Life Insurance Company until her retirement. She had been an active member of Downtown Baptist Church in Alexandria VA. Lois moved to Mankato in 2000. She enjoyed writing letters and receiving mail from her friends and family.

She is survived by her Mankato cousins, Otilla Anderson, Margo and Dean Brudwick, Nancy Wooldridge, and other cousins, as well as a host of friends from the East Coast. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, and uncles.
