Loraine Mock of Mankato, died Friday, October 21, 2005 after a short brave battle with cancer. She had received loving care from ISJ Hospice and Hillcrest Health Care Center, where she had died.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul A. Lauer officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Freedom Township, Waseca County. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements. Memorials are preferred to The Lutheran Church Extension Fund.
Loraine Leona Mock was born in Freedom Township, Waseca County to Fred and Lydia (Fleming) Degner. She married Robert J. Mock on December 28, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township. Robert died on July 15, 1994.
Loraine was a homemaker for her family and loved her pets. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and traveling. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, where she had been active with Young at Heart, Widow to Widow, and Afternoon Guild.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Mock and partner, Gerriann Brower of Richfield and a step-granddaughter, Annalisa. She is also survived by her pet cats and her bird, Tweety. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Elmer.
