Ronald J. Rauchman, age 67, of North Mankato died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Private family burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday with a 6 p.m. prayer service at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at church on Monday.
Ronald John Rauchman was born January 2, 1938 in Mankato to M.J. and Rose (Mahowald) Rauchman. He entered the United States Air Force in 1955 and served in Korea and Texas. He was honorably discharged in 1959. On October 3, 1959, he was united in marriage to LaVonne E. Koch at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Minneota, MN. They made their home in North Mankato. Ronald was an employee at Honeymead and had been active with the union. On January 1, 2000, Ronald retired after 40 years of employment with Honeymead.
Ronald was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Ronald was a driver for Nicollet County Volunteer Services and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching his grandchildren in their sporting activities.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, LaVonne of North Mankato; two children, Ron (Tracy) Rauchman of North Mankato, Steven Rauchman of Albany; two grandchildren, Eric and Emily Rauchman; a brother, Lauren (Sharlene) Rauchman of Fallen, NV; two sisters, Mary Wersal of North Mankato, Donna (Mike) McGoff of Brodhead, WI; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
