Martha D. Miller, age 66, of rural Lake Crystal, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal, with Rev. Gene Alms, officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at church on Saturday. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Martha was born March 23, 1944 to Richard and Betty (Clark) Lunde in Mankato. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1962 and attended Luther College in Decorah, IA. Martha was united in marriage to Ron Miller on August 30, 1963. She was employed by school district 77 for a number of years and spent the last 20 years as the attendance secretary at Mankato West. Martha enjoyed birdwatching, quilting, gardening, fishing, traveling with her husband, reading, searching on the computer and lunches with her many friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her three grandsons. Martha will be deeply missed by her family.
Martha is survived by her husband, Ron of rural Lake Crystal; two children, Jim Miller and special friend, Connie Wormington of rural Lake Crystal; Johnna "Jodi" (Mike) Hoff of Kasson; three grandchildren, Breyden Miller, Benjamin and Michael Hoff; brother, Stephen (Joan) Lunde of Pelican Rapids; aunt, Ruth Lunde of Fargo, ND; uncle, William S. Hughes of rural Lake Crystal and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents.
