Jerry Zuehlke, age 57, of Garden City, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Eagle Lake Church of Christ with Rev. Jeff Peterson officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2008 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Eagle Lake Church of Christ Building Fund or for a tree to be planted at church in Jerry's memory.
Jerry was born September 16, 1951 to Alvin R. and Lorraine A. (Kump) Zuehlke in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1970. Jerry was employed by Hiniker Company for 36 years. He was a member of the Eagle Lake Church of Christ. Jerry enjoyed listening to Bluegrass Music, playing games with his family, softball, bowling, hunting, and fishing. He loved to help family and friends out and be a greeter at church.
Jerry is survived by a son, Keith Zuehlke of Fort Meade, Maryland; mother, Lorraine Zuehlke of Garden City; siblings, Jeanne (Marlin) Peterson of North Mankato, Jeannette Tyge of Garden City, Larry (Kathy) Zuehlke of Mankato, Dorothy (Dave) Miller of Garden City, Bonnie Miller of Pemberton; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Alvin.
