Tillie was born in Madelia on December 5, 1920 to George and Emma (Schreiber) Noonan. She graduated from Madelia High School in May, 1939. In June 1939 she was united in marriage to Elmer A. Keck. Their daughter, Sandra Carol was born in June 1940. While Elmer was serving in the Navy during WWII, Tillie and her daughter moved to Bremerton, WA where she worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" for Boeing Aircraft. She returned to the area in December 1944 after Elmer was killed in action while serving in the Pacific. Tillie married Leland "Jake" Jacobson in November 1948. They lived and farmed in rural Eagle Lake until Jake's death in April 1976. Tillie resided in Eagle Lake until relocating to Walnut Towers in 2002. She moved to Oaklawn in 2007. She really enjoyed living there and loved teasing and joking with the wonderful staff.
Tillie was a feisty little Irish lady that loved life, traveling, playing cribbage and blackjack, and spending her winters in Destin, FL, where she had made so many great friends. Her favorite pastimes were spent watching the Vikings and her beloved Twins. Her favorite player of all times was Harmon Killabrew. She held a variety of jobs over the years from working alongside Jake on the farm, as a school bus driver, selling Avon, bartending and a linotype operator to name a few.
Tillie is survived by her daughter, Sandra and her husband, Leo Koppelman of Cleveland, MN; grandchildren, Tracy (Kirk) Garrison of Dyer, IN, Michele (Rob) Kluntz of Elk River, and Peter (Lisa) Koppelman of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Taylor and Alex Garrison, and Brandon and Evan Koppelman; sister, Peggy (Roger) Miller of North Mankato; brother-in-law, Darrell Dehn of Mankato; and several nieces and nephews.
