Lester L Anderson

Lester Louis Anderson, age 97, of Mankato and formerly of North Dakota, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.

A private family service will be held at Mankato Mortuary in Mankato. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Lester was born on October 31, 1911 in Leonard, ND. He was the son of Otto and Louise M. (Greuel) Anderson. Lester was united in marriage to Florence Moldenhauer on October 8, 1935. He worked as a carpenter and attended the Lutheran Church with Florence in North Dakota.

Lester is survived by his wife, Florence of Mankato; one daughter, Jeanne B. (Don) Dugan of Mankato; one grandson, Kenneth (Cheryl) Young of Marlburough, MA; one granddaughter, Beverly Fortney; five great grandchildren, Brian, Laura, Beth Young; Tiffany (Michael) Ibeling; Benjamin Fortney; one great-great grandchild Veronica Ibeling.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Wilbert Anderson.
