Janine P. Raddatz, age 53, of Mankato, died December 15, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Steve Kidder officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Memorials may be given to the Andreas Cancer Center at ISJ Hospital.
Janine Philomena Raddatz was born May 18, 1957 in Hoensbroek, Holland to Gerard and Agnes (Tummers) Cobben. She immigrated to the U.S. with her parents at the age of 13. She graduated from Mankato East High School and then went on to attend Mankato Technical School. On June 28, 1980 she married Curtis Raddatz at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mapleton. She was employed with ISJ Hospital, where she worked in the Business Office for 16 years. She was also employed with Lutheran Social Services and for the last ten years worked at Verizon Wireless as a Technical Support Representative.
Janine was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. She enjoyed motorcycling, knitting, gardening, her cats (Max and Missy), and spending time with her grandson.
Janine is survived by her husband, Curt of Mankato; two sons, Christopher (Azzizeh) Raddatz and Jason Raddatz; grandson, Curtis James Raddatz; mother, Agnes Cobben; sister, Marleen (Bernie) Michel all of Mankato; four god children; the sister God forgot to give, Pat (Gus) Gottschalk; and many special friends.
Janine was preceded in death by her father.
