Edwin Adair Senska, age 81 of Madison Lake, died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to Centenary United Methodist Church, the American Legion, or the V.F.W. Arrangements are with North Mankato Mortuary " Northview.
Edwin was born on February 7, 1929, in Woonsocket, S.D. He was the son of Glen and Lura (Walrath) Senska. Ed was a 1947 graduate of Forestburg High School in Forestburg, S.D. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ed was united in marriage to Phyllis Fillbach on August 29, 1956, in Mankato. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 1959. He began working for Honeymead in 1968 and retired in 1994. Ed was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Sertoma, the Elk's Club, American legion, and V.F.W. He enjoyed tennis, sailing, golfing, hunting, motorcycling, and time spent with his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Madison Lake; one son, Stuart (Wendy) Senska of Plainfield, IL; two daughters, Cindy Krone and Tony Talamantez of North Mankato and Sheri (Mark) Croswell of North Mankato; six grandchildren, Samantha Croswell, Chase Krone, Shawna Croswell, Colton Krone, Amber (Ryan) Kolkmeyer, and Alyssa Lindsay; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Aiden Kolkmeyer; three older siblings; also nephews and nieces, especially Pam Dalan of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
