Glen Warren Heath, Jr., 78, of Mankato died October 7, 2005.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 20 from 3-5 p.m. at the Summit Center in Mankato. Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Heath was born June 21, 1927 in Lansford, ND. His family moved to Rake, IA in 1928, where he was baptized and confirmed at Liberty Lutheran Church. He attended Rake High School through his junior year then moved with his family to Vancouver, WA where he graduated.
Mr. Heath was a mechanic for Jensvold Implement in Buffalo Center, IA from 1944 to 1963. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War as a corporal. He was based in Germany.
Mr. Heath moved to Mankato in 1963 and continued his career as a mechanic until he retired from Snell Motors. He was a member of Mankato Area Solo Parents and Singles and the Summit Center. He had a passion for fishing, especially on Lake Washington.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois (Jerome) Halvorson and Sharon (Don) Erickson both of Rake, IA, nine nieces and nephews, many cousins and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora (Nesheim) and Glen Heath and a brother, David.
