Gene L Davis

Gene L. Davis, age 79 of Kingsland, Texas and formerly of Lake Crystal, died September 20, 2005 in Austin, TX.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Randal Lubbers officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Gene Davis was born October 16, 1926 to Leslie and Fern (Davis) Davis in Kasota. He attended St. Peter Schools. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Johnson on September 26, 1946 in Mankato. Gene was a lifetime farmer in the Lake Crystal area. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bethel Lodge # 103 both of Lake Crystal and the Osman Shrine. He was a former member of Mankato T " Birds. He and his wife moved to Texas 23 years ago in retirement. Gene enjoyed golf, fishing, and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a son, Al (Marge) Davis of Lake Crystal; a daughter, Linda (Wayne) Mettler of Lake Crystal; six grandchildren, Emilee, Jamee, Michael (Honey), Danielle, Cory and Kelly; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Eben Davis of Yelm, Washington; nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
