Milton Cecil Prange, age 85, of Good Thunder, died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. David Danner officiating. Burial will be in Decoria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church Handicap Accessibility Fund, ISJ Hospice, or to an organization of the donors choice.
Milton was born November 17, 1919 in Decoria Township to August and Minnie (Bohlke) Prange. He attended Ballard Country School. On August 22, 1942, he married Arlene Wempe in North Mankato. Milton was a lifetime farmer in Decoria Township and was extremely proud of his Century farm. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of the National and Minnesota Trappers Association, and a former member of the Moose Lodge. Milton enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, bird watching and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (Keith) Karels of Big Fork; five sons, Larry (Joan) Prange of rural Janesville, Delmar (Joanne) Prange, Leon (Dawn) Prange, Ronald (Terri) Prange all of rural Good Thunder, Mark (Sonya) Prange of rural Janesville; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, wife in January of 2000, two brothers and three sisters.
