Marie M Schweim

Marie Margaret Schweim, age 96, of Mankato, died Monday, October 10, 2005 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to an organization of the donors choice.

Marie was born August 17, 1909 in Mankato to Gustav and Margartha (Foelster) Schweim. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School. Marie was a lifetime care giver to her family and worked as a domestic for families in the Mankato area. She worked at Hillcrest Health Care Center and Immanuel Hospital. Marie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, sang in the choir and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary and youth groups. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching, and she loved to travel.

Marie is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, eight brothers, nieces and nephews.
