Charlotte Mae Reichel, age 89, of North Mankato died Friday, October, 7, 2005 at Immanuel- St. Josephs Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October, 10, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary, with a 3:30 p.m. prayer service and continues one hour before services at church on Monday. Memorials may be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or an organization of the donors choice.
Charlotte was born on September 25, 1916, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Carl and Mary (Sanger) Swanson. She married Stacy Reichel on April 6, 1937 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, Minnesota. She was a homemaker who cared very much for her family. Charlotte was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed raising violets, flower gardening, sewing, crocheting, rock polishing and being with her family.
Charlotte is survived by four sons, Richard Stacy (Beverly) of North Mankato, Frank (Alane) of North Mankato, Rome (Monica) of rural Madison Lake, and Roger (Deborah) of rural Madison Lake; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Marianne) Swanson of Mankato, and Duane (Ginny Mae) Swanson of North Mankato; one sister Georgia McCall of Madelia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy in 1983; grandson, Shawn; great-grandson Kole; two brothers, Donald and Eugene Swanson; and one sister, Dalores.
