Francis Scheurer

Francis Joseph Scheurer, age 91 of Mankato, died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato with Rev. Neal Wilkinson S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 5 " 7 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Francis was born May 30, 1914 to Adam and Rose (Robel) Scheurer in Mankato. He attended SS Peter and Paul Catholic School. Francis farmed in the Mankato area all of his life. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Francis was a taxidermist and enjoyed hunting, and reading.

He is survived by his friend and neighbor, Glen Ulman and his family of rural Mankato; and cousins. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Agnes.
