Mankato, MN " Dale Eugene Cattrysse, age 59, of Elysian, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Neal Wilkinson, S.J. officiating. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday (TODAY) at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
Dale was born July 21, 1946 in Mankato to Emil and Agnes (Suess) Cattrysse. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1964. He served in the US Marine Corp from 1966 to 1968 and served a tour in Vietnam where he achieved the rank of Corporal. He married Linda Enzenauer and was later divorced. On August 31, 1991, he married Susan Cain in Mankato. .
Dale was a self employed custom cabinet maker for 43 years in the area. He was a member of the American Legion Post 11 and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Cattrysse of Elysian; son, Matthew Cattrysse of Amboy; stepdaughter, Angela (Greg) Kelly of Lake Crystal; two step-grandchildren, Mitchel and Nick Kelly; three brothers, Jerry (Jo) Cattrysse of North Mankato, Al (Joyce) Cattrysse of Mankato, Wayne (Gwen) Cattrysse of St. Peter; sister, Joan (Ted) Genelin of North Mankato; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elaine.
