Laurell E Boyum

A 30 year accident free retired semi truck driver for North Star Concrete Company, Laurell E. Swede Boyum, age 80 died Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Mankato Health Care Center.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Dean Wolf, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Memorials are preferred to donors choice.

Laurell was born October 31, 1924 in Franklin to Oscar S. and Mabel (Olson) Boyum. He enjoyed country western music, doing yard work, attending auctions, hunting, fishing, his good and thoughtful neighbors and family.

Survivors include his wife, Addie of 56 years; three children, Cheryl (Dennis) Price of North Mankato, Larry (Carol) Boyum of Mankato, Ron (Leann) Boyum of Hanska; seven grandchildren; brother-in-law, Aldean Carlson of Willmar; two sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by parents and a sister.
