Lucille R. (Ebert) Evans, age 89 of North Mankato, died Monday, August 8, 2005 at the Mankato Lutheran Home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church in North Mankato, with Rev. Jim Roe officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lucille was born on April 9, 1916 to Otto and Jennie (Ludeman) Ebert. She was a 1933 graduate of Mankato High School, and attended one year at Mankato Teachers College. Lucille was united in marriage to David Evans on January 22, 1938 in North Mankato. She was employed as a beautician until 1945, before becoming a homemaker for her family. Lucille was a member of Belgrade Ave. United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading and playing cards.
Lucille is survived by a daughter, Jenn (George) Schonath of Oconomowoc, WI; two sons, Warren (Carol) Evans of Portland, OR, and Tom Evans of Mankato; four grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Schonath, Jennifer (Dylan) Hall, and Teresa Evans; one sister, Lorna Gossard of Minnetonka; one brother, Clarence (Dorothy) Ebert of Roseville; one sister-in-law, Anita Ebert of Belle Vista, AR; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David in 1990; and two brothers, Warren and Ralph.
