Sharon Kay McKinley, age 50 of rural Lake Crystal (Judson) died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at her home.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Steve Kosberg officiating. Burial in Hebron Cemetery, Nicollet Twsp., Nicollet Co. Visitation on Thursday (TODAY) from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services on Friday.
Sharon was born October 9, 1954 in Springfield, CA to Charles and Dorothy Mildred (Lanz) Billings. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Dan R. McKinley on August 23, 1975 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato. Sharon had worked for Shari Candies from 1973 to 2003 and for the past year she has been employed by Carlson Craft in North Mankato. She also had worked part time at the American Legion Post 518 in North Mankato for 15 years. She enjoyed camping, collecting bells and reading.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Dan; three daughters, Heather McKinley of rural Lake Crystal, Hope (Chris) Vee of Jackson, Holly (Nick) Altringer of North Mankato; a grandson, Zane Vee; four brothers, Bill Billings of Texas, Bobby (Kate) Billings of Washington, Gary (Cathy) Billings of Georgia, Jerry Billings and special friend, Fayann Dorn of Mankato; father-in-law, Addy Mueller of Madison Lake; five sisters-in-law, Sandy Abraham of Iowa, JoAnn Ponto of Topeka, KS, Diane Almhjeld and fianc, Mark Bisch of Madison Lake, Patricia (Alan) Hopp of North Mankato, Cynthia (Rich) Ewer of Arizona; two brothers-in-law, Mark McKinley of Mankato, John (Becky) McKinley of Nicollet; many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law.
