Elizabeth J Snow

Elizabeth "Betty" Snow, age 78, of Mankato, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Albert Thompson and Rev. Lynn Shiery officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor's choice.

Elizabeth Jane Snow was born on June 4, 1930 in LaCrosse, WI. She was the daughter of Herman and Alice (Thompson) Behrens. Betty graduated from high school in LaCrosse in 1948. After moving to Mankato with her family, she worked as a floral designer for Neilson Florist, Wandersee Florist, Betty's Floral, and Hilltop Florist. Betty was united in marriage to Claude Snow on November 16, 1955 in Ohio. She was a longtime member of First Congregational Church in Mankato, Eastern Star, and was a past Matron of Cereal Chapter #2.

Betty is survived by her brother, Hank Behrens of Union City, CA; two sisters-in-law, Martha Behrens of Troy, OH and Roberta Behrens of Scottsdale, AZ; also several nieces, nephews, and special friend, Mary Roed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude in 2005; and three brothers, Edward, Robert, and Charles Behrens.
