Gladys M. Rothfork, age 93, of Bloomington formerly of Norwood, MN died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Martin Luther Manor Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Church, 12508 Lynn Ave., Savage with Rev. Michael Tix officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN. Visitation on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Martin Lutheran Manor Center, 1401 E. 100th St., Bloomington and one hour before services at church on Thursday. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Gladys was born on March 23, 1915 in Lake Benton to August and Sophia (Hoberg) Determan. She was united in marriage to Howard J. Rothfork on May 18, 1936 in Lake Benton. Gladys and her husband owned and operated Rothfork's Truck Stops in Norwood, Mankato, Belle Plaine, and Rochester.
She enjoyed cooking and her family.
She is survived by her five children, Clarence (Elinor) Rothfork of Burnsville, Juanita (Charles) Beltz of Austell, GA, John (Dianne) Rothfork of Lake Crystal, Patricia and Kathleen Rothfork both of Lubbock, TX; 10 grandchildren, Jeanne Rothfork of Lakeville, Julie (Steven) Nelson of New Prague, Michael Beltz of Tampa, FL, David (Sharman) Rothfork of Lake Crystal, Linda (Harry) Campbell of Marietta, GA, Thomas (Michelle) Rothfork of Elk River, Dawn (Salvatore) Vita of Shawnee, KS, Teresa (Chris) Martinson of Prior Lake, Peter and Mark Rothfork both of Belle Plaine; 23 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1985, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
