Madeline Hott, age 91, of St. Peter, formerly of Mankato, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the St. Benedictine Living Center in St. Peter.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
Madeline was born on December 26, 1916 in Lancaster, MO to Charles and Iva (Hale) Hill. She attended school in Lancaster. Madeline was united in marriage to Harwood B. Hott on July 3, 1937 in Lancaster. They lived in Missouri and Iowa before moving to Austin, MN in 1948. They later moved to Mankato in 1952. She was a secretary in Harwood's office in Mankato. Madeline was a member of First Christian Church in Mankato. She and Harwood enjoyed spending winters in Sun City, AZ from 1983 to 2002. Madeline also enjoyed playing bridge.
Madeline is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Andy Vitale) Hott of Eagan; son, Charles (Elizabeth) Hott of Los Lunas, NM; two grandchildren, Carl (Tasha-Kay) Hott and Elizabeth Hott, both of Los Lunas, NM; one great-grandson, Benjamin Hott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harwood in 2005; three brothers, John, Dennis and Woodrow; and one sister, Hildred.
