Janice Agnes Jacobsen, age 58 of Eagle Lake, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Memorial Mass will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Janice was born August 7, 1950 to Raymond and Agnes (Smisek) Sieberg in Mankato. She graduated from Loyola High School in 1968, attended technical school in Alexandria, and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Mankato State University in 1983. She was united in marriage to Daryl Jacobsen on December 3, 1971 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Janice was employed at Wornson-Polzin Dental Laboratory. She enjoyed puzzles, flowers, embroidery, and cross stitching.
Janice is survived by her husband, Daryl of Eagle Lake; two children, Eric (Valerie) Jacobsen of Lakeville, Chad Jacobsen of Sheboygan, WI; mother, Agnes Sieberg of Eagle Lake; mother-in-law, Irma Jacobsen of Eagle Lake; siblings, James Sieberg and friend, Cathy Iverson of Mankato, Richard Sieberg of Eagle Lake, Jerome Sieberg of Fairfield, CA; many nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Sieberg; an infant brother; and her father-in-law, John Jacobsen.
