Matthew Roman Krzmarzick, age 23, of Mankato and formerly of Lake Crystal, took his seat at the Heavenly Banquet on July 12, 2005 at Madelia Community Hospital, Madelia, after a four-month fight against cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato with Rev. John Wilmot and Rev. Tim Biren officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Lake Crystal Mortuary with a 4 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour before services at church on Saturday. Matthew was born April 14, 1982 to Paul and Peggy (Johnson) Krzmarzick in Norfolk, Nebraska. Matt graduated from Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School in 2000 and attained a degree in Computer Programming from South Central Technical College in 2002. While attending SCTC, Matt was employed with Carlson Craft in the mail department and as a Computer Programmer. Most recently, Matt enjoyed working with his colleagues as a Computer Programmer for the City of Mankato. Matt was an avid NASCAR fan who regularly rooted for Kevin Harvick. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, playing softball, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
Loved ones who remain to remember Matts life are parents, Paul and Peggy Krzmarzick of Lake Crystal; brother, Andrew Krzmarzick and his wife, Joana of Washington, D.C.; sister, Stacy Plumer and her husband, Jason of Winona and their daughter, Naomi; brother, Tony Krzmarzick of Lake Crystal; grandmother, Margaret Johnson of Plano, TX; various aunts, uncles, and cousins. Matts grandparents who preceded his entrance into heaven include, Roman and Dorothy Krzmarzick and Calvin Johnson.
