Richard Dick Donald Wussow, age 62, of Mankato, died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. Ted Hottinger S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Dick was born on November 30, 1942 in Mankato to Donald and Lucille (Wandersee) Wussow. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Dick worked for Frys Bait Shop on his return from military service. In 1972 he moved to New York City, where he worked for NASSAU. He returned to Mankato in 1980. Dick then worked for Carlson Craft in North Mankato for over 10 years, and retired due to health problems. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 11, and VFW Post 950. Dick enjoyed fishing, old time music, and playing cards.
He is survived by two sons, Brian Wussow and his wife, Cindy of St. Peter, and James Wussow of Eagle Lake; one daughter and her husband, Jody and Eugene Braam of Eagle Lake; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Wussow of Mankato and Timothy Wussow and his wife, Kim of Madison Lake; two sisters, Nancy Cooper and her husband, Charles and Joan Wood, all of North Mankato.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
