Violette P. Gove, age 73, of Mankato, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Nancys Comfort Kare in Kasota Township. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Eugene Glade officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospice Program. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Violette was born on October 15, 1931 in Mountain Lake. She was the daughter of Louis and Molly (Meier) Sneer. Violette was confirmed in her faith on March 25, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. She was a 1950 graduate of Mountain Lake High School. Violette was united in marriage to Stanley Gove on December 19, 1951 in Mountain Lake. They moved to Mankato in 1999. Violette was a homemaker, and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Violette is survived by her husband, Stanley Gove of Mankato; one son and his wife, Robert and Laura Gove of Minneapolis; one grandson, Zachary Gove of Shakopee; one brother and his wife, Floyd and Joann Sneer of Winsted; one sister and her husband, Beverly and Ron Quiring of Albuquerque, NM; also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Gary and Dan Gove.
