Jennifer Jeni Marie Haas-Flohrs, age 29 of North St. Paul died unexpectedly of medical complications at her home Thursday, May 26, 2005.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato, with Rev. Charles Vannieuwenhoven and Rev. Michael Hatzung officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Beauford, MN. Visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Madison Flohrs-Nelson Memorial Fund, located at Peoples State Bank, Madison Lake.
Jeni was born October 13, 1975 in Mankato to Cindy and Dave Haas. She was baptized in 1976 and confirmed in April of 1990 at St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church, North Mankato. She was a current member of Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, North St. Paul. Jeni graduated from Janesville High School in 1994.
Jeni had worked for Burger King, Taylor Corporation and K-Mart, where she worked as a photographer. She was currently employed at Life Touch Portrait Studio, where she had just been promoted to territorial manager. She was united in marriage to Troy Flohrs in 1995, they later divorced. She enjoyed camping, fishing, pool, the Vikings, photography, traveling, hunting, concerts, and visiting with her many friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Madison Skye Flohrs-Nelson, age 3 ½; her parents, Dave and Cindy Haas of Madison Lake, loving boyfriend and father to Madison, Brian Nelson of North St. Paul and his family; sisters, Melissa Haas of Lake Crystal and daughter, Kyla, and Christine Haas of Madison Lake; grandmother, Martha Arndt of North Mankato, uncles, aunts, cousins, many friends, and her dog, Sox.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Alvina Haas, and grandfather, Dale Arndt Sr.; uncle and aunt, Greg and Kelly Arndt.
