Jane L. Pape, age 74 of Garden City died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at her home in Garden City.
Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Vernon Center, with Rev. Thomas Lock officiating. Burial will be in Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary.
Jane was born May 18, 1930 in Garden City to Chester and Mary (Stuve) Greenough. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1948. Jane was united in marriage to Wally Pape on April 15, 1950 in Good Thunder. She was a homemaker and a sales person for Pape Trailer Sales for many years. Jane and Wally spent their winters residing in Lemon Tree Estates in Mission, Texas. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Wally Pape of Garden City; two children and their spouses, Kathryn and Stephen Wilcox of Mankato, Curt and Darcy Pape of Garden City; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Ross, Robb, Rick, and Mary Jane Lund, Laura, Lesa, Caulina and Meghan Pape; great-granddaughter, Hannah Clark; a brother and his wife, Jim and Laverne Greenough of rural Lake Crystal. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Walter Gosewisch.
